Product details

  • Size: 50g jar
  • Type: True Metallic Pigment Powder made from real metal particles
  • Main ingredients: Aluminum and silicon dioxide
  • Particle size: 15–45 microns

Sterling Lining is a True Metallic pigment made with real aluminum particles. It gives epoxy resin a reflective silver-chrome finish for geode accents, decorative castings, and wood-and-resin projects with a liquid-metal appearance.

Key features

  • Reflective silver-chrome finish: Real metal particles create a smooth, usually opaque metallic effect, distinct from mica’s pearlescent sheen or glitter sparkle.
  • Floating-silver resin effects: Explore reflective patterns and floating-metal details in epoxy resin, with results that depend on the resin, pigment amount, and technique.
  • Cool contrast for your palette: Pair Sterling Lining with dark colors, blues, purples, or natural wood for geode-inspired designs, resin inlays, and decorative pours.

Care & handling

Keep jars or resealable bags tightly closed in a dry location, protected from moisture and contamination. Avoid breathing pigment dust and protect your eyes. Follow the pigment documentation and your resin manufacturer’s instructions; test a small batch through the full cure. See our pigment FAQs and resin-art safety guide.

Not intended for lip products. Check the specific pigment documentation before using it in other materials.

HELP & GUIDANCE

Your pigment questions, answered

What is Mica Powder?

Mica is a naturally occurring mineral that is finely ground into a shimmering powder. Pigment coatings, such as Iron Oxide and Titanium Dioxide, give otherwise translucent mica different colors. MEYSPRING also offers real metal pigments and synthetic mica glitter, which have different compositions. Check the specific product page and documentation for the pigment you are using.

Do MEYSPRING pigments expire?

Our mica powders, true metallic pigments, and glitters do not expire. When stored under appropriate conditions, MEYSPRING pigments can remain usable for a long time if they are protected from moisture and contamination. To extend shelf life, keep jars or resealable bags tightly closed in a dry location.

What materials can be colored using these pigments?

MEYSPRING pigments are inert and do not dissolve in water, oil, paints, or epoxy resin, which makes them highly versatile. The fine particles stay suspended instead, creating depth and a rich metallic or pearlescent finish when used in a translucent medium like clear gel, acrylic paints, epoxy and UV resin, automotive paint, varnishes, lacquer, nail polish, watercolor paint, and much more. Our pigment FAQs cover additional uses and product-specific limitations.
