THE GEODE ART COLLECTION - NOW IN JARS
Blue Calcite Two Tone Mica Powder Pigment, like every other resin colorant in the Geode Art Collection, has been handpicked to harmonize and complement each other, so the right color-combo is any color-combo! This collection has all you need to succeed in Geode Art.
TWO TONE PIGMENTS
This new generation of resin pigments builds a range of vivid colors in several shades when mixed into epoxy. The final results always depend on the viewing angle because the special mineral coatings on these pigments refract light separately, displaying a delicate color-shifting effect.
The cured product usually shows various cell effects just by applying some heat. A dazzling shimmer is guaranteed when working with MEYSPRING Two-Tone micas that offer varying shades/effects at different viewing angles and light incidence.
Particle Size: 10-60 microns
Main Ingredients: Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Tin Oxide, and Iron Oxide
FDA Approved: Safe for external use on skin, face, around eyes, and on lips
PIGMENT-TO-RESIN RATIO
To achieve full opacity in small resin art projects, use the following ratio:
- Mix 0.5g of MEYSPRING pigment to 1oz of Resin
We always recommend starting with a little bit first and then increasing the amount of pigment up to 4% of your total amount of resin by weight. More than that could affect the curing process of most resins.
While MEYSPRING pigments are not harmful, we always recommend wearing a dust mask and protective eyewear to prevent fine pigment particles from entering the lungs and eyes. If you get pigment powder in your eyes, immediately flush them with water. Do not ingest or directly inhale the pigments.
As all MEYSPRING pigments are cosmetic grade and FDA-approved for makeup purposes, they are safe to handle without gloves and do not stain your clothing or skin. Wash your hands with hot water and soap to remove pigment from your skin.
