Congrats, Levi Art Studios!

Introducing MEYSPRING’s September Artist of the Month winner, Christina Levi of Levi Art Studios! She shines through her resin seascapes, colorful floral artwork, and much more with MEYSPRING Pigments. She has been a fabulous asset to the MEYSPRING Brand Ambassador team for over two years now, and we’re so proud of everything she has accomplished and continues to do with her creations!

Tell us more about yourself!

I have a 15-year-old son, and we spend as much time together as I can. As a teenager, he wants to do a lot more things with his friends. So, I've been trying to be a plant mom and grew a pretty decent garden this year! I also do a lot of festivals around the Ogden, Utah area and enjoy traveling and spending time with family. 

What inspired you to become an artist?

I've always been very artistic. It's a way to quiet the noise in my head and escape. I suffer from anxiety and depression and it helps me relieve those symptoms and connect with people.

How long have you been working with resin?

I started resin at the end of 2017/beginning of 2018 and continued to work with it until I created my own technique.

What made you choose MEYSPRING pigments?

They were one of the first pigments that I purchased. The variety pack was amazing and gave you so many color options. They are so pigmented and you don't have to use much to get a very pretty hue.

What is your favorite color scheme?

Right now, my go-to is Mermaid Dust and Imperial Emerald, which creates a moody ocean color. I've also been exploring combinations with Imperial Emerald; it’s my favorite color!

Where do you find your inspiration?

From everywhere I go! It can be a color scheme I see, a beautiful sunset, or ocean video I come across on Instagram.

How much time do you dedicate to your craft?

I am a full-time artist. I work with resin almost every single day.

What are your goals for your artistic journey?

I create artwork to heal myself, but I also want to share my passion with everybody. I sell my artwork, which helps me make enough to continue to create more.

What is the most significant "Aha moment" you've had while creating?

It's not really an “aha moment,” but you have to learn when to walk away if things are not working and come back to it with fresh eyes. I have ruined a lot of artwork by trying to overwork.

What advice, tips, or tricks would you like to share with aspiring creators?

Do your research, watch lots of videos, ask questions, and invest in the right products.
