Tell us more about yourself!
I’m a Minneapolis, MN resin artist inspired by geodes, agates, and crystals! When I am not creating art, I am thrifting and looking for my next DIY at-home project. Besides resin art, I enjoy being outside in nature with my dog, reading, working out, or watching movies.
How long have you been working with resin?
I have been working with resin since December 2019 and continue to do so, adding more and more mediums with each new piece I create.
What makes/made you choose our Resin Pigments?
MEYSPRING always provides excellent colors for all of their collections, giving the highest pigmented coloration in my pieces.
What is your favorite pigment color and/or color scheme?
My favorite pigment is MEYSPRING's Glided Gold, a true gold metallic pigment that I use in most of my resin artwork! Vibrant colors plus an accent of gold or silver on a gallery-wrapped canvas or wood panel is the winning formula for each piece I create.
Where do you find your inspiration and/or motivation?
Music is one of my primary inspirations! Natural geodes and crystal formations follow next. The healing properties of the crystals motivate me to use genuine raw crystals in my art pieces to give them more meaning and purpose than just their looks. I widely use clear quartz in my art pieces for its universal healing along with fire glass.
How much time do you dedicate to your resin art?
I try to dedicate at least an hour a day to creating with resin!
What are your goals for your artistic journey?
I would love to keep growing as an artist and learning different techniques to enhance my art pieces.
What is the most significant "Aha moment" you've had while creating resin pieces?
Content became significant for gaining exposure and sharing my artwork! It’s so important to be persistent, and it can bring you far. For example, I was blessed with being able to showcase my work in a gallery storefront in downtown Minneapolis because someone noticed me on Instagram!
What advice, tips, or tricks would you like to share with aspiring resin artists?
Don’t give up; you just have to keep going! You never know when your next opportunity will be at hand. Also, every day is a new learning experience, whether making or shipping the art. Also, everything eventually comes full circle. Through this, I learned that staying devoted and consistent with your craft will lead you to places you've only dreamed of!
