Congrats, Loren Art Expressions!

Whether you know her as Loren, Lorena, or Jammy, our March Artist of the Month winner, Loren Art Expressions, is sure to impress you with her resin geode beauties! Over the last year, we’ve watched her creativity shine through a variety of styles and intricacies. Her eye for design and color schemes (and custom hues) never ceases to amaze us.

Tell us a little about yourself!

Apart from creating with resin, I like to draw and paint. I am a mother of two teenagers, and the more they grow, the busier they keep me. I love tacos; I could eat tacos every day, accompanied by a margarita occasionally! I also have an interest in fashion and beauty.

What inspired you to become an artist?

First of all, my soul as an artist has been with me since I was a child. My passion and admiration for rocks and stones that Mother Nature creates are what pulled me into resin art.

What made you choose MEYSPRING pigments?

They have everything I need: quality and a variety of colors, and something important to me is friendly customer service.

What is your favorite pigment color or color scheme?

It is difficult to choose just one color! However, I can say that White Pearl, Bronze Stone, and Imperial Emerald are my favorite ones. I also love how Shiny Malachite, Olive Gold, and White Chalcedony look together as a color scheme.

Where do you find your inspiration?

I can get inspiration from basically anything I see, even on TV, but nature is always my first source of inspiration.

How much time do you dedicate to your resin art?

It depends on the schedule of my teens and their activities, but I always dedicate the necessary time to release my creativity. So, I would say around 20-35 hours per week.

What are your goals for your artistic journey?

One of the goals I’ve already had the joy of achieving was to display my art in my local mall! From here, I would say that my goal is to continue learning, experimenting, growing, and inspiring other artists.

What is your most significant "Aha moment" while creating resin pieces?

Discovering that there is no right or wrong when it comes to resin art techniques and that I can add more than one medium to my art.

What advice would you like to share with aspiring resin artists?

I'd encourage them to dare to experiment with any technique that comes to mind and mix different elements, even if they sound crazy!
